Just a question. What is my router downloading overnight or when I am not here.
For example Monday night it downloaded ( I presume it was download but could be total use)
15.87KB. Presumably it also does this all day but only shows as free usage overnight.. I turn
the PC off overnight.
I'm not too bothered about this but what would happen if I disconnected the router O/N or
turned it off.

This is likely to just be port scans and miscellaneous UDP/IMCP/TCP traffic. At such low volumes it's nothing to worry about (although you might want to consider switching on the server side firewalll in the Member Centre).

You shouldn't have any usage recorded against your account if the router's switched off.

Thanks for the information. Up until now I have left the router powered up with the phone
line disconnected when we go away for more than a few days. I think I will just turn it off.
I don't use wireless otherwise I would have worked this out before now. I will look at the
firewall setup.
