Odd Problem - Failure To Load One Website

This is a bit strange.
I've often gone to http://tv.cream.org (80.87.134.99), but over the last few weeks I haven't been able to load it.
I'd assumed there was something wrong with the site, but a colleague managed to get into it on his (work) computer this afternoon. I still can't.
Doing a tracert gives:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\User>tracert tv.cream.org
Tracing route to tv.cream.org [80.87.134.99]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
  1    3 ms    <1 ms    <1 ms  www.routerlogin.com [192.168.0.1]
  2    29 ms    28 ms    28 ms  lo0-plusnet.pcl-ag01.plus.net [195.166.128.27]
  3    28 ms    27 ms    28 ms  gi1-2-803.pcl-gw1.plus.net [84.92.5.57]
  4    32 ms    26 ms    28 ms  te2-2.pte-gw1.plus.net [212.159.0.186]
  5    28 ms    27 ms    27 ms  te2-4.pte-gw2.plus.net [212.159.1.102]
  6    28 ms    28 ms    29 ms  195.66.224.185
  7    29 ms    28 ms    27 ms  te3-3.mpd01.lon01.atlas.cogentco.com [130.117.2.
25]
  8    28 ms    49 ms    29 ms  Positive_Internet_Company.demarc.cogentco.com [1
30.117.21.106]
  9    *        *        *    Request timed out.
10    * (and so on...)

I thought it was my browser settings, but I tried with Firefox and IE6 with the same result.
I also tried my other machine (running Win98SE), but the same happened there with IE6, SeaMonkey and Opera.
This probably means the router is the problem (both machines connect through it and neither machine has a software firewall), but I haven't set the router (a Netgear DG834v3) to block any sites at all. I've upgraded the firmware on it as well,  but still no joy.
The router log shows the following when I try to connect to TV Cream:
"Fri, 2008-04-18 22:04:39 - TCP Packet - Source:192.168.0.2,3340 Destination:80.87.134.99,80 - [HTTP rule match]"
The only thing I haven't tried is restoring factory defaults on the router, but I want to know if youse have any other suggestions.
This is the only site I have this problem with.
TIA

I wonder if you can get there now I just did a tracert
Tracing route to tv.cream.org [80.87.134.99]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
  1    <1 ms    <1 ms    <1 ms  10.0.0.2
  2    40 ms    30 ms    26 ms  lo0-plusnet.ptn-ag1.plus.net [195.166.128.123]
  3    27 ms    26 ms    26 ms  ge0-0-0-303.ptn-gw01.plus.net [84.92.3.9]
  4    26 ms    26 ms    25 ms  te2-2.thn-gw1.plus.net [212.159.1.54]
  5    26 ms    25 ms    25 ms  195.66.226.185
  6    26 ms    26 ms    26 ms  Positive_Internet_Company.demarc.cogentco.com [1
30.117.21.106]
  7    28 ms    26 ms    26 ms  ice.cream.org [80.87.134.99]

Re: Odd Problem - Failure To Load One Website

Nah, I've had this problem with TV Cream for weeks, when others can access it OK.
It's something at this end, I suspect, but I can't figure out what.

Re: Odd Problem - Failure To Load One Website

Further update:
I find that I can ping & tracert to the range of IP addresses 80.87.134.0 to 80.87.134.9, but not to any above 80.87.134.10.
Could the site/host be blocking my IP address from that range? Anyone with a static IP in the range 212.56.99.n care to try accessing it?

Thanks Minkey...looks like we got ourselves a conspiracy!  Grin
I'll see if I can contact the webmasters so that they can check with their hosts.

Re: Odd Problem - Failure To Load One Website

try going via a proxy which will hide you ip and see if that works. a list is here
http://www.proxy4free.com/
Check your own host file to make sure there isnt a problem with it

Re: Odd Problem - Failure To Load One Website

Well, I don't know if it was the e-mail I sent to the webmaster on Saturday evening ('cos I've had no reply to it), but I can now get in to TV Cream for the first time in about two months.  Cool
Minkey, do you want to give it a try as well to see if they have unblocked that range of IP addresses? Otherwise, it'll be just a pleasing coincidence.  Smiley
