Norton 360 - Email

Embarrassed Has anyone else received an email from "Norton" regarding a FREE upgrade from 360 v.3 to 360 v.4. I wasn't sure about it especialy as it was free, so deleted it. A work collegue discribed a similar email arriving on her sons pc and he clicked the download button and the result was !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took her a while to sort it out and clear the system for him.

Re: Norton 360 - Email

Norton does allow free upgrades to the latest version and the latest version of Norton 360 is version 4.  Somewhere in the Norton settings is the option to check for an upgrade so better to use that than to trust a link in an email that might be a fake.

Re: Norton 360 - Email

:)Thanks for the tip. I agree email upgrades are a bit dodgie. I always look for the personal start as my first check.
