Ni-MH charge time

I have just bought some 3000 rechargable batteries on ebay.
I have a plug in charger which will charge 4 at a time....
Output current 0.4v     charge current  AA - 2x(2.8v===70mA)
so how long do I need to charge them
( the four batteries are located as 2 charging circuits...). ie. if you only want to charge two batteries. you put them in one half
Charger is an older version of this one...

Re: Ni-MH charge time

No way of knowing if you don't state the battery type and capacity.  Grin
This will then give you some idea: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/phopewell/airsoft/chargetimes/

Re: Ni-MH charge time

Thanks for the linky !....
assume the 3000 stands for 3000mA... so I put that in the calculator, with the charge rate at  70mA.... RESULT !..... 64 hours charging time !... Cheesy

Re: Ni-MH charge time

If the batteries can take it, a rapid charger is so much better. My 2500s do in half an hour.

Re: Ni-MH charge time

Not particularly worried about the length of time to actually charge... as I have others I can use ..... just wanted to know when they would be ready for use....
Might think about a rapid charger for Christmas or Birthday... !... Wink

Are you going to use all 3000 batteries in place of your car battery?
