Not sure why it is like that but it looks like they are identical products but one is sold by Logitech and the other Amazon?

I wouldn't buy that mouse anyway, the sensor isn't even in a central location! I have had a wireless logitech mouse before and I ended up going back to my old 3 button MS mouse that was over 10 years old.

Problem is that I want a big (I have big hands) mouse with two side buttons for page scroll up/down

I have never had an off centre sensor - what problems does it cause

With the sensor off center it just feels a bit.... off. I tried my hardest to like it as it was a christmas present from my dad but I honestly hated it for precise movement and it just felt like a lot of effort to get the pointer exactly where I needed it.

It might work for you though, it depends how you hold the mouse really. Give it a try but if you don't get on with it, return it and get yourself something a bit better.

I have a corsair M95 and its got a lot of buttons and a sturdy build.

This is a replacement for a G500S where the centre button under the scroll wheel has started to play up - that has a centre sensor

Re: New wireless mouse from Amazon but what is this - manufacturer Branded

I'm missing something in the "side discussion" about the position of the sensor. Apart from rotation about a vertical axis, the position of the sensor relative to the hand would seem irrelevant as all parts of the mouse move along an instantaneous parallel path. So, is the problem due to involuntary rotation as a result of a large number of buttons preventing precise control whilst they are being operated?

@PeeGee, the only difference is that with a centered sensor you are positioning the pointer with your palm, the off center ones would be using the position of your left click finger. It takes some getting used to and some do prefer the off center sensor so it acts more like you are pointing with your finger. My personal preference is having the sensor in the middle to control the pointer with my palm.

Going back to the original question - I have asked Logitech about it and will eventually post the result

I know but I don't understand it

If it wasn't marginally illegal I would have thought it was grey imports

The difference is that your link was for the mouse supplied by Branded and mine the one supplied by Logitech and the results are wildly different
