New computer windows 7

Hiya can someone help i bought my daughter a new computer running windows 7 and our wireless isn't showing so we can't connect, i set up new connection but it still doesn't find it. Also my neighbour has his on all the time and i can usually connect to his  but even thats not showing on the new computer?
I have no idea about windows 7 although my eldest daughter bought a laptop for Uni some months ago running windows 7 and it connected fine? so i guess theres something i have to do to the pc but i have no idea what if anyone could help i'd greatly appreciate it.

If the new computer isn't a laptop it probably doesn't have a wireless card
Can you advise the make and model

I'm sure i asked is it wifi ready and they said yes?
this is what i bought but with a different graphics card

This is probably a simple question but how would i enable the wireless on the pc?

That doesn't have a wireless card in the specification so won't work.
If you don't feel confident in putting in a PCI or PCIe wireless card a USB wireless connector will probably be the way to go

Thank you very much Jim i would have thought i'd have asked about wifi i did say when i picked it up is that everything i need to get her on the net and they said yeah. Oh hum and they are highly reccommended too in our area but they probably thought i was slightly savvy lol
I've got an adapter from the old pc i'll give that a whirl.

it might still connect via ethernet, that is probably a legal get-a-round

ooops it worked good job i kept hold of the adapter i nearly gave it away with the old pc  thank you enormously again i'm such a dumbo .
I wonder if anyone knows how to 'enable' common sense?

I normally use 1/2 bottle of Rhum, then I dont worry
