New OCZ IBIS SSD

Just thought I would share this with you...    I've installed a 240Gb version of one of these SSDs, claimed to be the fastest on the street. Loads Windows 7 in 22 seconds... 
A couple of graphs, read and write, showing just under 700Mbps and 350Mbps respectively. THAT'S RIDICULOUS!

How long do this disks last and how much did it cost?

They have a three year guarantee and an mtbf of two million hours. Bit pricey at around £450, but hey, better than putting it on the horses (for me anyway)! Smaller capacity versions are available.

What's the random read/write limit? Concerned that SSD's are specifying this value, they won't ever be able to be defragged at this rate 😕

According to the test just run (see pic, bottom dataset) this one can get to about 650Mbps....    that's also ridiculous!!
Defrag has to be disabled along with some other processes. OCZ have introduced something called "garbage collection" which seems to work very well.

I've got a lower capacity (64GB) SSD for my O/S in my gaming PC, this does the job superbly and cost less than £150.
