New Chromecast

I am not tech minded and I am having trouble setting up my Google Chromecast.  After putting in the password, it connects to the technicolor TG582N router, but then states that it cannot connect to the internet.  I am using my Sony phone to do this and I see that the wifi internet icon disappears during the process.  Please can anyone help?

Hi there,
Are you using your account password or the wireless password? It sounds like the former to me and this is what is stopping it connecting. You need to ensure you are entering the wireless key or WPA/PSK key from the bottom of the router. Please be aware it is case sensitive.

Hi,

I cannot make my Chromecast work, I have tried both the passwords on the card with the router, and the p/n  number (all numbers ) on the base of the router with no connection being made.

Can you assist please?
