Netgear DG934

Can anyone tell me whether the above router as supplied with Sky Broadband is locked in some way to their own service or can it be used with any provider?
I understand that the DG934 is just a repackaged DG834.

AFAIK it's locked (but not necessarily unbreakably locked) - but routers are very cheap these days.

Re: Netgear DG934

I believe most of the Sky routers are Netgear DG834GT's with custom firmware.
There's a good market in them for Be and O2 customers as they work particularly well with their ADSL2+ service (due to compatible chipsets between router and exchange equipment).
Unlocking them and reflashing to standard firmware is easy but not 100% risk-free - Google is your friend. Cheesy
My genuine DG834GT worked very well with PlusNet and took 2 minutes to reconfigure for Be where it works superbly.
