just came across this offer on TBB (via the Grass to the Staff Section ;D) http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/windows/f/3695077-nero-9-free-version-94123d.html and thought it may be of interest if you only use Nero for data burning http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nero9-free.php
Installed it and it only does data burning and disk copy and it is totally useless for anything else and on my system the space used/available isn't dynamic. The bar only goues to 400MB and doesn't change.
Now going to uninstall and stay with Nero 7 Essentials which came free with my DVD drive

it's just adware - tried it to see if it was any good a few weeks back -- waste of time -- can't even wipe re-writable cds or dvds
a huge download that dopes virtually nothing!

<a href="http://infrarecorder.org/">InfraRecorder</a> is free and open source. I use it on my Windows box at work, and it seems to work well enough.
