On my CentOS web server I use uk.pool.ntp.org using a cron job daily. For some reason it did not move forward an hour today so I done it manually.
Then at midnight when the cron job ran again the time went back an hour again. What am I missing? Surly the time server is not at the wrong time?

I found the answer. My server was set to GMT and for some reason this does not change with DST. By changeing the timezone to Europe/London the issue was resolved.

That's right, GMT is always GMT, regardless of the time of year. Europe/London is the correct one to use for us in the UK. Out of interest is there any reason you're updating daily with a cronjob rather then running ntpd?
