More free space on C drive after installing Vista SP2?

Installed Vista SP2 Saturday and have noticed that the free space on the C drive has increased by about 70 odd gig  Cheesy from the 356 ish gig available after picking the new pc up from the shop following the initial load, to 430? As far as I can tell everything works as before and no documents, music or photo’s etc are missing; so is this a deliberate part of the SP to in some way compress the volume?
As I say, all is working well and while the extra free space is welcome I hardly need it yet. But how does this come about?  Huh

Re: More free space on C drive after installing Vista SP2?

My guess would be old restore points being removed. They can occupy a huge amount of space.
