I got a lovely Sony Ericsson W810i mobile phone for Christmas. It runs a version of Java and it can be linked up to the PC. I'm after a scientific calculator program for it and any other interesting goodies (e.g. file transfer, telnet). There isn't one on Sony Ericsson's site. Does anybody know of a good safe site for downloading free Java programmes?
The phone also has blue tooth. Has anybody linked a blue tooth keyboard to this phone?
Thanks,
Chris.

This site:
http://tuxmobil.org/pda_linux_apps_java.html#ToC40
Has a range of Java goodies - including one for the SonyEricsson 's to use the Bluetooth as a remote control!
Also,
http://www.getjar.com/software/
Has a range of Java and other mobile OS softwares.
Both have been given a green tick by the McAfee Site Advisor software which implies they are safe.

Actually it implies that they aren't known to do anything dodgy.
The distinction may seem minor, but there is a pretty big difference.
Worth ensuring you compare checksums, virus scan etc. Also don't forget the system restore point setting, and backups too.
Not to be a scare-mongerer, but better to be in a false state of insecurity than a false state of security methinks.
