Mobile broadband

Sitting on our canal boat yesterday (we gave up and came home because of the weather) it would have been great to get on the internet to check a couple of things.
So can anyone recommend a good mobile internet service/card I can shove in my laptop to allow me to use the internet when I'm not at home or near a wireless hotspot.
I've got my mobile phone service with BT but I don't think they offer a service like that.
thanks

Re: Mobile broadband

Vodafone, 3 and T-mobile all offer mobile broadband. Best thing to do would be to check their coverage maps, to see which offers the best coverage in the areas that you would be using it.
I am on Vodafone through work, and that gives me better speed than my PlusNet ADSL connection !!!!
And a tip for using in a canal boat is to go for the USB version of the dongle , that way with a USB extension cable the USB dongle can be outside of the boat for best reception.
