The new version of Mint Linux “Isadora” has just been released < a href="http://www.linuxmint.com/blog/?p=1386">Here</a>.
Testing it on my Intel dual core machine and it is FAST. Boot to desktop in 15 seconds with similar shutdown speed improvements.
Not noticed much else changed (the close/min/max are still in the same place :D) Used the backup tool to do an "install/restore" after restoring (manually unfortunately) my ppa's I was able to restore the majority of my installed s/w (ones that came in a standalone deb file are excluded) so quite painless overall.
Looking forward to finding more fun features.
