Microsoft Word

Hi,  does anyone know if there is a free download for Microsoft Word?  My system is windows 8.1 and it's just got wordpad on, which is useless.  Thanks.

Have you tried Open Office ? It's free and is a good replacement

Another one you could try is Libre Office.

If you really really want Word it might still be possible to install Microsoft Office 2010 Starter Edition.  I have not tried for some time so I don't know if the link still works.

There's a free online version of MS Office accessed via a browser that contains the basic facilities.

I use LibreOffice.

Thanks very much everyone for your suggestions, I decided to go for Open Office, I just need something simple and easy to use and it fits the bill.  The PlusNet forum is excellent for things like this, I couldn't find any of these using google.
