Mcaffee removal problem

I just tried removing Mcaffee internet security from a Dell laptop with XP home using their removal tool
Something hasn't gone as it should have because I get s sequence of errors on start up.
first I get:
Network Associates Error reporting service
1 unhandled error occured while the Network Associates error reporting service was not running, process these now?
another appears along with it
vstskmgr.exe has encounterd a problem and needs to close
When I click on yes for the first error I get
A problem occured with VirusScan Enterprise
vstskmgr cauused  an exception at 0012E811`

The error report gave reference to 2 files in
C\ documents\mylaptop\locals\Temp\WERab6b,dir00\
first being: vstskmgr.exe.mdmp
second being appcompat.txt
From a search I found several vstskmgr files
one exe file, one dll and six .dmp
Theres nothing comingg up under appcompat.txt
I'm tempted to remove all vstskmgr files and delete all registry values for mcaffee and Network Associates but first seek advice from someone more knowledgeable
Could anyone please help?

Did you use the normal uninstall or this tool http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=107083&lc=1033

Run the tool oldjim has pointed to and then manually remove any McAfee files and registry entries that are left (if you feel confident deleting stuff from the registry). 
That should, hopefully, solve your problem!

Thanks to all
Well I ran the tool and even though it finished up saying all removal was complete It still came up with the same problem
I then took a chance and deleted all the vstskmgr files and that cracked it
Problem solved
