The information is almost as embarrassing to Microsoft as if it came out that Intel was running nothing but Linux boxes.
The Vole has been telling the world plus dog that they have to upgrade for the sake of Microsoft's profits, er, security.

My bold and italics.  What the quote actually says is that Intel have a lot of machines still running XP!
Personally I find it more surprising that Intel uses the rather naff McAfee software.

they'd be so much better off if they were running nothing but linux boxes.  they'd suffer a lot less downtime as a result of idiot errors from virus makers they no longer need.

I would say that about 80% of LARGE businesses still have XP desktops, some still have W2K ones! Others are investigating Linux desktops  Wink
There wasn't a rush to move to Vista and given the economic climate there won't be a rush for W7 either! After all if it ain't broken  Cheesy
