Is there a way, or a bit of software, that will map a drive to an FTP drive in Windows ?
Trying to avoid VPN connection.

I've got a folder on my desktop that goes to my ftp folder. It's also in my network places. I can't remember how I got them, but I think it was via my network places - add a new network place and then used the ftp://username@homepages.free-online.net/htdocs as the internet address. That's for XP of course.
I hope that helps.

Depends what you want to do there is a free util netdrive from http://www.theblog.ca/novell-netdrive
which lets you drag and drop.
Turbo ftp has a util built in to sync with the ftp so it will keep the ftp and local directory in sync without any intervention by you
A lot depends on the setting of the ftp and what it will accept

Samuria : that worked, my usual FTP client would return the date from server with time of 00:00, which made syncing difficult.
Netdrive, I recall, has varying degrees of success and failure.
Hulls : I've seen that trick before, I'll look into it.
Thanks
