Managing cookies

I use Internet Explorer 11 and I have just read the guidance on Cookie settings from one of my Banks.
The Bank suggests Cookie settings of "Accept" for both first-party and third-party Cookies.  I have always set my third-party Cookies to "Block."
Please can any expert offer their advice?
Regards.....

Re: Managing cookies

I do my banking in private browsing mode so none of the cookies will be saved anyway.

Re: Managing cookies

Thanks for your comment, ejs.  However, accepting the cookies of known friendly sites is often a convenience surely and sensible to block third-party sites.

Re: Managing cookies

Most banks recommend you clear your cache / history - which would usually includes cookies - after you log off their site, anyway.
I tend to be fairly good at doing that, though I have been using the clear last hour functionality in Firefox which I won't be able to do anymore as I've joined the Firefox boycott.
Not sure if Chrome has an equivalent feature - but I guess it's not an issue as I can use private mode - can't believe I'd never thought of that!  Thanks, ejs.
