Quote from: 11110_110 I was kind of hoping somebody on here may have had an experience with a third party laptop batteries
Not direct experience, but a fella I know over in canada bought an "El cheapo" for an older C2D mac whitebook to revive it's portability, but after a few months the battery suddenly swelled up and split the logicboard, resulting in a duff battery and a well and truly ruined apple, so, be VERY wary of generic batteries, for anything, you never know if they're to the OEM's specs, or if they're just ticking timebombs...

Quote from: 11110_110 I do worry about getting cheap batteries, I was kind of hoping somebody on here may have had an experience with a third party laptop batteries,
I've had a couple of third party batteries for a HP laptop over the years.
The original HP battery lasted 2 years the replacement (can't remember where from) lasted about the same but never held quite as much charge as the original.
The last one I got was this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000XD8LEQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 which is now 18 months old and still going strong.
