MS Silverlight

Some time ago I asked about Silverlight & Windows.
I have set Windows to notify me of updates and I always check them before downloading and installing so I am somewhat surprised today to see an update to Silverlight.
Silverlight is showing in Programs & Features. I remember reading somewhere (can't remember where) that Silverlight caused more problems than it's worth. Has anyone else found it installed without their knowledge and what issues could I possibly meet if I uninstal it?

Interesting...
Anyway, I've uninstalled it. OK so far...

...fingers crossed!
Edit: just checked the laptop W7 64 (PC is 32) and no Silverlight.

Re: MS Silverlight

Yeah, from what I understand, it's being deprecated to use Windows Phones, and will be available for Windows Desktops at least for another version or two, maybe more, but that MS is encouraging developers to develop for HMTL5 rather than Silverlight.
