I recently lost connectivity to my Canon printer. I suspect it's faulty so I've switched it off. (I tried connecting via another router and it still didn't connect)
Even with the printer switched off I noticed I was getting loads of error messages on the event log of my Plusnet Hubone router(see screenshot). I have the default firewall setting. Part of IP addresses removed for security paranoia.
It appears that my internet connectivity is fine. When I switch off the broadband link the error messages stop happening, so I'm guessing they come from the outside world. At the time of these messages my network was just the plusnet router one PC and a mobile phone
I've no experience in this area but it looks like I am under some form of attack.
Any advice welcome.
Fixed! Go to the fix.
Attacks are very common, either to find out if you're a hackable server or to try and break through the router.
I wouldn't bother about them.
It isn't the printers fault.
