Lost documents in Windows 7

Sorry if this is the wrong palce to post my query.
My pc is a windows 7.  I must have done something but don't know what! And now when I click 'Documents' nothing happens. The only way I can get my documents is to type 'document' in search. Can someone please tell me how to get it to open again? thank you.

Re: Lost documents in Windows 7

Umm... Could you just clarify where you are clicking on 'Documents'. Is it on the start menu or within the quick links section of the windows explorer? Or maybe somewhere else?
That's RPM to you!!

Re: Lost documents in Windows 7

In Windows 7, Documents points to your Documents Library, which is a collection of folders in different locations.  It is possible to add and remove folders from the library.

Library files in Windows 7 are stored in the known folder, FOLDERID_Libraries. By default, the FOLDERID_Libraries folder is located at %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries.
Perhaps something has got lost somewhere?
