Lost connection

Trying to save a bit of space I ran Bleachbit (not root) and it has lost my internet connection.

It's a ethernet connection using a tp link, Desktop computer running a dual boot system linux mint 18/windows 7

If I get the network connection box up on linux and slide it across to on it fails to stay on, there is another box available asking for mac address and other information but I have no idea where to find that info.

Apart from the connection everything works ok, what's the best and easiest way to sort this problem ?

I have disconnected and then reconnected the ethernet cable in the hope it might pick the connection up but no luck and without a connection I cannot update linux.

Re: Lost connection

Set up a connection using windows 7, shut down then restarted in Linux and I was back on line, no idea how that worked but it did.

Re: Lost connection

It might have been the reboot that fixed it.
