Lost Program/Brain

I used to use a program to sync files between my computer and a memory stick.  It was something recommended in a post on this forum about backups from the last year or two.  But I bought an SSD and re-installed Windows and have lost track of the installation file for this program although I must have it somewhere on my PC.  The problem is that I cannot remember the name of the program even if the installation file name relates to it (which they frequently do not).  Anyone any suggestions?

There are a few to choose from, could it be Microsoft's own Sync Toy?  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15155

Re: Lost Program/Brain

No, it wasn't SyncToy - sorry, I should have mentioned that.  But it was free.
I have a bit more time now; I'll try searching through the old topics more thoroughly.

www.freefilesync.org/
very good, free although it does ask for donations and asks if you want freeware - but if you say no - it runs fine.

Re: Lost Program/Brain

I've used SyncToy for years - but this is interesting. I like the look of the real time sync option. Thanks

Re: Lost Program/Brain

I think the program I was trying to remember was SyncBackFree http://www.2brightsparks.com/freeware/freeware-hub.html ; as recommended by JohnJ here https://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,141438.0.html
