hi does anyone know of a good free Usenet I do a lot of programming in VB6 so I was thinking os using Usenet to find tips and tricks. I tried outlook but can't seem to get it to work, I also found a free one but it keeps crashing.
Also does any one know of a good free usnet server I don't want binary just text I tried looking but can't seem to find any and the ones I do find you have to pay for sure there must be some free ones.
Thanks.

Thunderbird is absolutely fine for text only groups.
As a server just use the Plusnet one usenet.plus.net - it's actually run by Giganews.

Nope, you just need to be connecting from a Plusnet IP address/connection.
