Many of you seem to be using Firefox, so I was wondering if someone might help me find the add-on I have been searching for with no success.
I have an unusually extreme form of motion sickness, and any movement on a web page makes me nauseous (e.g. the <- M or the "Cheesy" smiley on the Start new topic page which I am using right now).
I already have Adblock and Flashblock installed, but it is not enough, as most sites have a scrolling news/weather/finance banner, and god knows what other moving object on the page.
So, to cut a long story short, do you know of an add-on that stops movement on a page?
Many thanks!

Tam found this:
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2007/08/how-to-stop-gif-image-animations-from.html
In summary, hit escape in Firefox and it will stop gif animation. If you want to do it permanently, you can turn it off from a value in about:config. Details on that page!

Thanks, but it is so simple to just hit the escape key...
I am glad that this line of smileys has finally stopped making me sick. Wasn't so bad with the old ones, perhaps because they were smaller...

Learn something new every day. That is why I love Firefox, always something funky you can do with it!

Do you know this one: Toolbar Buttons 0.5.0.1?
I installed it yesterday and it's got loads of options. Really cool!
In fact, there is something called "Toggle Animation", but I don't know what "toggle" means in this context...
Perhaps I should try it to see what it does!

If it's off turn it on and if it's on turn it off.

Ah well, of course! Thanks! Will give it a try.
Edit: Works very well. Means I don't have to disable animations permanently, so the rest of the family can 'enjoy' them.
