Live CD with VMWare bundled? (or windows live cd?)

Hi
Got a laptop with a dead HDD. It runs a live CD fine but my knoppix is v3 from around 2002! Obviously even using konqurer to get into yahoo mail has been difficult!
So.. are there any Linux live CDs with vmware installed so that I can attach a usb HDD and run a windows VM? Or.. is there (to make life easier) a windows live cd/method to make one?
I suppose the easiest method would be to buy another internal drive but cash is rather tight at the moment.
