Libre Office

Reading OJs thread about Office 2013 - prompted me to ask if any one who uses Libre Office has managed to mail merge from it?
I couldn't get it too mail merge - I can't remember now what the problem was [ used it a while ago] but after the first stage or so the options were greyed out. I do some for work for a charity that still uses Office 2000 and can't get on with that system of mail merge at all. I keep looking at updated versions of Word but they are too expensive for the charity.

Re: Libre Office

OK
I have tried it and it is a bit tricky and non intuitive compared to Office 2003
However it does work although you need to set up your own template as the built in ones are US style
I mail merged a series of addresses from an xls sheet and it worked fine although I did need to edit one of them which screwed up a blank field. I don't know why as the others were OK
I did this without using help except for changing the page layout (paper size) which is under format not under File which I am used to

Re: Libre Office

Thanks Jim I'll download it again and try - perhaps it was a corrupted download for some reason.
