You need to find a bit torrent file for the data (a program is just data) - use google to find some bit torrent search sites.
Go to the search site and find the bit torrent file of your choice; download it (it's only a few hundred bytes in size). Note that these bit torrent search sites seem to fund themselves with porn adverts.
Feed the bit torrent file into limewire and wait whilst it downloads and uploads to other users.
Some programs may be in the form of CD images. Linux distributions are often available in this way.
