CRT monitors used to be when they started showing signs of age but can LCD's? My current main LCD is showing signs of age, loosing screen settings and started to roll around the right edge of the image. It is 7 years old so probably time to retire it but other than this problem that started last night, can they be?
FTTP 500 regrade from Tues 28th November

I've sorted out a few, both standalone monitors and laptop displays.
Usually the problems are with power supplies (typically failed capacitors) or the backlighting (inverter failure).
Haven't seen the symptoms you describe though.
