Joining Wi-Fi networks in USA via iPod Touch

Hi,
I'm going to the US next month and will be travelling around whilst there.  Has anyone got any tips for a complete novice on how to join Wi-Fi networks with an iPod Touch eg at airports, hotels, etc?.  Is there somewhere that I can find some easy to follow instructions - the Apple User Guide doesn't say very much on the subject.  Any tips would be gratefully received.

Re: Joining Wi-Fi networks in USA via iPod Touch

From what I recall it's dead easy. The iPod Touch automatically scans for networks and any it finds will be listed under settings > wi-fi. You can then select the network you want to use.
Note however that airports and hotels often charge for wi-fi access. You are usually redirected to a web page where have to enter you credit/debit card details.
Hope this helps - Bob

Remember too that public areas such as receptions/bars may well have free wifizones Cool
Sometimes you'll need a password or token from reception.
