Is this a virus

Sometimes  website pops up on my task bar under my firefox icon when I click it a website appears called bannersdontwork.com which a survey and I can win a ipad or iphone when taking part in the survey,this website as a bad reputation.I have run malwarebytes but it did not find any viruses,I wonder if it is a virus.

Google bannersdontwork.com - there's plenty of advise on how to get rid of it.
