a wind up ethernet cable?

Reason I ask is that in the evening once pip squeek is in bed, we grab an ethernet cable down off the book case and plug it in between a network switch and the main router so that we don't need wifi. Obviously keep being coiled up by hand every evening to put it away it's becoming kinked, twisted, outer coating torn etc.

From prowling about on ebay it seems that a wind up cat4 cable doesn't exist.. yet you can buy them for mains cables and phone cables.

So surely there must be a wind up ethernet cable? - something like this (but for ethernet):

surprisingly enough "ethernet extension reel" was enough to find such a thing.

I did try that though chenks and it didn't come up when I previously looked.

IF you noticed, that one Reed has supplied has just four left - but over 60 previously sold. This suggests that the seller may sometimes sell out (unlikely to have bought such a large batch in one go) and thus I may have searched when they were out of stock.

Ebay's search engine is notorious for being haphazard. Things appear and disappear. Some people find things while others using the same search terms get zilch.

I did a Google search on network cable reel.  The item was the first listed amongst the Google shop links.  I did not attempt to search directly on eBay.
