Is there an alternative to TOM TOM

Is there an alternative to TOM TOM live traffic?    they have mucked about with the site and now it is virtually unusable ...

it defaults to showing the centre of London in close up format. and it takes forever to reduce the size of the map to be able to navigate to whatever area is needed for the traffic information..
It was annoying when it defaulted to California,... but at least you could reduce the size of the map to  be able to re-centre it on the UK and quickly find your desired area.
I do not want to "register" ..... "join" .... "sign in".... give them my location... I just want to know what the traffic situation is in the area I am interested in...
Any alternatives  ? ? ? ?

Not sure what's so difficult about just typing the name of the place you're interested into the Tom Tom page but...
http://www.theaa.com/traffic-news/index.jsp
http://www.trafficengland.com/
Google Maps also has traffic - Click on the three horizontal bars at the left of the search box and then Traffic

Re: Is there an alternative to TOM TOM

Thanks for the link to Traffic England site....  that one will do for me...
nowt difficult about typing in a location, but I just don`t feel it is necessary... if they show the map, I am quite able to find the location that I  am interested in... and can see the "area", rather than a specific location...
e.g. I might want to know what the traffic is along the A34 from north to south...which I would not get if I put in the location of ( say) Bicester.  or Newbury...
