Internet Explorer and ITV Player

I seem to be having problems with ITV Player when using IE as my browser.    After the selection of a programme, ITV Player stops working just before the “restricted access” window; so I never get the chance to click on “play”.
The BBC Iplayer works fine with IE as my browser, so why am I having problems with ITV Player ?

I've just tried it using IE10 and it failed. Same program plays fine in Firefox.

Odd, works perfectly here, using IE10 on Windows 8. Just tested it when seeing the above. (I entered in my postcode and clicked confirm)

Ok here on Win7 Ultimate & IE 10.
It does appear to require Flash?

Cant confirm as dont and wont use it, but didn't MS just change the way they handle flash in IE 10.
Seem to recall it was disabled by default and they were using whitelists, but have now switched to it being enabled by default and blacklisting certain sites.
I'd check to see if ITVplayer is on the blacklist.

Well Davey how come my IE10 has no issues - cannot be related to a 'blacklist' can it?!

It may be Windows version specific?
Don't normally pay much attention to MS and especially IE news, but this seems to has jogged my memory, just seeing if I can find the article...

On IE 10 it does require 'Tracking Protection' to be turned off!

@NedLudd - well sorry just turned Tracking Protection on & guess what? - ITV Player still works perfectly!

Thanks for the replies, everyone.  I think it must be something to do with the versions of IE and Windows I’m using.    4OD tells me that it no longer supports my browser, but I can still see the programmes on offer.
The ITV Player website hasn’t bothered to display a warning, and considering the amount of criticism the new program has received recently, I wonder whether they really care about their audience.
