Internet Explorer 10

Seems it is now available for download for both Windows 7 & 8.
But be careful as, according to here it installs KB2670838 which can cause some issues with FF and IE on W7 machines (see Platform Update for Windows (KB267083Cool.

Re: Internet Explorer 10

edit: removed comment as it wasn't an IE10 bug.

Re: Internet Explorer 10

I installed IE 10 on win 7 64 bit last week, a few concerns for me were hundreds of inbound and outbound TCP Fin scans in my router log, and it also installed an eye where I put my router password in, if I clicked on the eye icon it changed the star symbols to reveal the password. Not a big deal but it spooked me a bit until I uninstalled KB2670838 which put me back to IE 9. No more TCP Fin scans (touch wood) and the eye has disappeared.
Edit
Using IE 10 I saw no difference whatsoever from IE 9.

Re: Internet Explorer 10

Get ready to install the various forthcoming patches to the software.
You'd think Microsoft could write a browser by now.

Re: Internet Explorer 10

I've now installed the Platform Update and IE10 on a little-used W7x32 laptop.
No problems so far, but I'll hold off on my main W7x64 desktop for now.

Re: Internet Explorer 10

I've been using IE10 for two months - very good. Seems very fast and now importantly has spell-checking built in. The only problem I have is the address bar is very narrow being to the left of the tabs.

Re: Internet Explorer 10

Right click in the toolbars and select 'Show tabs on a separate row'!
No problems at all with IE10.  Smiley

Re: Internet Explorer 10

Doesn't anyone know how to access the spellchecking settings in IE10 please - I want it to check words in capitals which it isn't doing at present

Re: Internet Explorer 10

Thanks - but I can't see anything there to resolve my query (unless the page is different when I look at it in IE10 - I'm on IE8 at home)
I posted here because the Microsoft Help for IE10 appears to be completely hopeless.

Re: Internet Explorer 10

Hopeless indeed.  Sad
Spelling correction is in the Add-ons section but there only appear to be language selections there (and an on/off switch). You can add words to the dictionary "on the fly" if they're highlighted as bad spelling.
