ISPA2012 - Various software options

I've agreed to let my line be monitored for these awards but I have tbbMeter application installed that already does daily tests to check speeds and I gave it a 4GB monthly allocation. It was that or unlimited which obviously is not good for me. The PN instructions ask you to install tbbSpeedTester which seems to be the same core engine as the metering app uses as far as speed checking is concerned. So do I need to run both, I'd like to keep running tbbMeter as it provides me with useful information.
What do PN require us to do WRT these 2 similar programs.
Also I told it I was on up to 80Mbps as I'm on the trial for that but it so far it appears the connection is no quicker for me as I'm a fair distance from my cab. However I assume the results produced can not be manipulated by reporting the wrong up to speed so it makes no difference if I say up to 80 or up to 40?
Any sage advice out there?
