IP Address / Machine Name

I have just swapped to a fixed IP address and note that it has an associated Machine Name, presumably from a previous owner, which can be used to identify me on the net. Can this be removed so that only the IP address is broadcast to the world?

There's a specific ticket path to request such changes which includes details of all the options.
Shame they've made the crass decision to remove access to that!

It would be helpful if this link was clearly shown on the page where you upgrade to a fixed IP. If it's there then I missed it.
