IE9 vs IE11

Running Windows7 x64 here and upgraded IE8 to IE9 which seems to be doing the job and is rock-solid but I was wondering if there would be any benefits in upgrading to IE11. I'm asking because I've read a LOT of bad stories about IE11(lots of crashes, lots of lock-ups etc.) and don't want to go ahead and give myself a load of grief. Anyone care to comment  Smiley

Re: IE9 vs IE11

I use IE11 on both W7 Professional 64 bit and W7 Home without any issues so far.
Admittedly I mainly use FF but I use IE for accessing banking and other sites when using PoA for my mother to keep things separate.
IE11 is apparently more secure then 9 and I see no reason not to upgrade.

Re: IE9 vs IE11

I've been using IE11 since it first became available - no crashes or lock-ups, and as far as I know no-one's hacked it and stolen my cash.
I tend to leave the technical arguments about the merits or otherwise of different browsers to those who feel more strongly about them than I do.  ;).

I've been using it for ages every day on my office computer with any problems. Predictive autocorrect is useful.

Re: IE9 vs IE11

the most recent windoze update has introduced a freezing problem but its down to website changes since last viewed, instead of showing the progress bar like older versions did when loading it just sticks and hogs 100% cpu power while it does its thing
really annoying with a lot of websites having recently deployed "touch compatibility" that's got open ended code in it and returns errors at a massive rate on desktop......

Re: IE9 vs IE11

IE11 is better than IE8 or IE9 IMO.

A bucket with a hole in the bottom and no handle is better than IE6 though.

Re: IE9 vs IE11

Am I alone is running IE10 (on W7x64)?  Undecided
It seems fine and no update is being forced on me, IE11 is still showing as optional after almost a year......
