IE Stopped working

Using IE9 on Vista. I've been away from the pc for a few hours and on returning started browsing using IE and keep receiving a 'The webpage is unavailable because you are offline' message. I am, however, able to use Chrome successfully. Any ideas?

Re: IE Stopped working

I was going to suggest that but it's not there in 11 so wasn't sure if it was still there in 9.

A further read and it's been removed totally from 11.

Re: IE Stopped working

As a secondary question, should I update to IE11? Is Vista supported ?

Re: IE Stopped working

From memory I don't think either IE 10 or 11 are supported in Vista.
