I just got one of these yesterday for £419 on sale http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/lg-49uh620v-smart-4k-...
I must say it really is epic!
If any of you are thinking about buying a 4k tv then maybe you should consider this one

one should note though that it really does make the SD channels look pretty bad.
there's only so much you can do with an already low quality image, and a combination of upscaling and a much larger screen really makes it grim viewing sometimes (especially on fast moving images.. ie sport).
so unless you also have it connected to an extortionate tv subscription in order to get more HD channels it really does mean that most of the channels (which are in SD) look not great at all.
i got a sony 43" 4K TV, but the primary reason for buying was not for 4K but because it was an Android TV device, which mean i could ditch the few other boxes i was using. so now Plex, Youtube, Netflix, Amazon, Kodi, BBC iPlayer are all accessible direct from the TV.

We got that very same tv from John Lewis, about £60 more than you paid for it but that includes a 5 year guarantee.
Excellent set, great picture but if we turn on the dvd player, recorder or other accessory even though it is connected by HDMI it does not automatically switch the screen and you have to bring up the menu and select it.

The only thing we are trying to get used too is the movement.... it feels like people are moving much faster around the screen have any of you noticed that too ?

sounds like you don't have HDMI-CEC enabled on the TV.
As you know there is quite an extensive menu on this tv.
I will have another look through the menu to see if I can find that.
Thanks for the tip.

Rather unhelpfully the various manufacturers use their own branding for HDMI-CEC.
Samsung use Anynet+ for example, Sony use Bravia Sync or Bravia Link, LG use Simplink and Panasonic use Viera Link etc etc
As eludes to, you need to make sure HDMI-CEC (or whatever you're TV manufacture calls it) is enabled on both the TV and the connected devices.

Well yes it on along with the message about simplink but it does not automatically connect to any additional components other than the sound bar... the sound bar is also LG so it seems that only LG products connect automatically ?

The PVR is a Panasonic and I have no idea what setting if any would be needed on a android box H96 Pro.
