I'm wondering if there are any programs out there capable of capturing a stream from youtube? - Specifically video/sound seperately (or together as a whole video)?
Years ago there were programs for capturing real audio/video... surely there is something for youtube?

Have you tried Miro - see http://www.getmiro.com/ - it includes a lot of video channels - including Youtube as a download.
