How do I email a large PDF file?

I'm trying to send a pdf file 12.5mb to a friend.
(he has a tiscali email address)
I  then get a return to sender message saying attachment too large.
I attemted to zip it but received the same message.
Any help how to send such a file geatly apprecited

You could upload it to your webspace, then email them the link to download it

Use an ftp program to upload the file to your webspace and then send a URL of the file location in an email. There are loads of free FTP client applications around (search on google) or just use the built in DOS one (called ftp).
If you use your www webspace then you must upload it to the htdocs folder then the url will be http://www.username.plus.com/file.pdf
with username being your plusnet username and file.pdf  being the name of the file you uploaded.

A way to email it would be to zip it into a multi-volume zip. 7-zip gives you the option to break the archive up in to 1.44MB chunks even when not writing the floppy drive - you can then email these individually. It also has the 7z format which gives better compression ratios than even the best zip option.

You could also open up a free Googlemail account.  This has a 20MB limit.

I use the FireFTP addon in Firefox and that works brilliant.
