How big is your Windows?

out of curiosity, I decided to check the "properties" of my HDD .... size 250 GB.... it shows less than 50GB free at present, which got me thinking ,... What have I really got on there  ? ? ?   so I thought I would check the properties of the Windows folder.... it shows as almost 23GB  !!      is this "normal"     for WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL

25.2GB for Windows 7 Home Premium here.

Windows 10 Pro takes up 14.9GB but that's a relatively new install.

Is there by any chance a 'windows.old' folder holding a full previous version lurking somewhere? After a  major update of win 10 one is generated automatically and should disappear after a month. I can't remember if win 7 does the same.

 Hmm... interesting that I have the smallest windows ! ! ! ...

@Baldrick1    No sign of windows.old  file       but I do have a weird folder   as pictured...... I do hope it`s not a "nasty" although I have scanned it with Microsoft Security Essentials and it says no problem.

Not on W7, @Baldrick1, but even if there was it wouldn't still be on my system - I always trim junk off my main drive.

I can account for the size of my 'Windows ' folder, there's nothing in there that shouldn't be.

The Windows folder in my Windows 7 Pro on VMware is 26.5GB and contains 142,028 Files,
