I have decided for various reasons to install XP Pro over a copy of XP Home and the Setup screen gives me the following choice.
F: Partition1 (Inactive (OS/2 Boot Man 4503 MB ( 4324 MB free)
C: Partition2 [NTFS] 234586 MB (233748 MB free)
Unpartitioned space 8MB
Which item should I select (presumably to load XP Pro)?? May be an obvious answer to an experienced user but I do not want to make a mistake at this stage.
Any help or adive would be much appreciated.

I can resist everything except temptation.

I'd say C, F looks like it is the back up partition for your recovery CD.

C: Is correct but do you have a rescue cd or does the pc have a key you can press at boot time to recover? You may need to check the manual for this. The reason for asking is the other partition is an O/S boot manager which must be there for something ie it lets you select something at boot time and if Xp rewrites the MBR it may not be accessible so check first.
Can you see the other partition in windows?
