Which do you guys find the best, netctl or systemd ? I've had more luck with systemd so far.
It really is down to your own preference, I used netctl due to the convenience but I'd be just as happy using systemd. The important thing is that the interface comes up and each option is as reliable as the other.
If systemd is working for you then stick with it once its done its done, no point in moving the goal posts during play.

I'm trying netctl on VM and systemd on the pi. I have a strange problem with ssh now I've updated... it's refusing me access via ssh, it just says 'access denied' (root) access is all I have atm on both builds. and yes I have changed the password.
just looking through the config now....

ssh for root is blocked by default. Create yourself a local account first then either use sudo or su.
