Hardly tec and a bit phony

I have a set of Panny Dects. There's an indentation on the rear aid sliding off the battery cover. Trouble is I just cant budge it, may be because my strength is waning due to age.( ninth decade).

Any helpful ideas, please, out there?

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Try a rubber glove.

@VileReynard Somewhat bigger than a tapeworm, and definitely appropriate for use of a renowned Cpl Jones comment on the Fuzzies.

@RobPN I could suggest effect sounds like forked bum.

Re: Hardly tec and a bit phony

Back to normal now, and that's medical concerns too, here are my response to suggestions made by you all. No luck so far.

@RobPN

Pics now attached

@shutterPerhaps my strength is waningSad, but no luck with that.

@Shep41. A bit drastic. I think.Grin

@VileReynardThat doesn’t work either. Or are you suggesting a lubricated one for insertion somewhere?Shocked

Re: Hardly tec and a bit phony

@Luzern

As suspected, it looks almost certainly to be the type to which you need to apply pressure whilst simultaneously performing a sliding motion as described by @shutter, possibly wearing a rubber glove as suggested by @VileReynard for better grip if necessary.

Apologies if you think I'm stating the obvious, but the pressure point is where the arrow symbol is, and the direction of pressure is from the surface towards the innards of the phone (e.g. as if you were pressing your belly button towards your innards).  It may be easier using both thumbs if you don't have the strength in one.

If you still can't do it, may I suggest asking a friend/relative/neighbour?  Wink

Edit; typo

And may I suggest that if you still can't get it undone smash it to pieces the catharsis alone will be worth it.

Looks like it should just slide out downwards - should be easy.

is it possible that you've upset someone who then perchance added a spot or two of superglue as a delayed gratification revenge tactic? Knuppel

I know phones last for ages, but since I bought mine have any substantial improvements been made?
