HTML 5

The working draft for HTML 5 is now out: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/
and there's a good summary of it here: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/x-html5/?ca=dgr-lnxw01NewHTML
Basically, it gives you access to a wider range of semantic tags that's looking quite similar to TeX. However, there are also some interesting additions that recognize the role of a web page as an application - look up the '[tt]command[/tt]' element, for example.
I like the increased semantic range, but some of it seems quite reactive to the kind of content that makes of the majority web these days (see the '[tt]pingback[/tt]' link type) but maybe that's no bad thing... So, what do you think?
